Ohio Edison Bill Pay: A Guide to Paying Your Utility Bills

Pay by Phone

The pay-by-phone option allows you to make a one-time bank draft or one-time credit card payment over the phone. This method offers a convenient and speedy way to settle your monthly bills without logging into your account or using the internet.

To make a payment by phone, call the Contact Center at 1-800-589-3000. You can also use the automated Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, which is available 24/7.

When calling the Contact Center, have the following information ready:

1. Account number
2. Amount of payment
3. Accepted card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Diners Club)
4. Pinless Debit (PULSE, STAR, Accel, or NYCE)
5. Month/year expiration date
6. ZIP Code associated with the account address
7. ZIP Code associated with the credit card billing address
8. 3- or 4-digit security card (CVV) from the back of the card
9. Phone number

Once your payment is approved, you will receive a confirmation number. Keep this number as proof of payment.

Payment Processing Time

Payments made before 8 p.m. Monday through Friday will be processed on the same day. Payments made after 8 p.m. on Friday will not be processed until the following Monday at 8 p.m. This excludes bank and business holidays.

Note: If you need to restore service due to disconnection, call the Contact Center with your confirmation number.

Other Payment Options

Apart from paying by phone, Ohio Edison offers other payment methods:

1. Guest Payment: You can make a one-time payment without logging into your account using KUBRA EZ-PAY. Click on the KUBRA EZ-PAY button on the Ohio Edison website to begin. You will need your account number and ZIP Code.
2. Automatic Bank Draft: Enroll in automatic bank draft to have your monthly payment deducted from your checking or savings account.
3. Credit Card: You can also make a one-time credit card payment using KUBRA EZ-PAY.
4. Mail: You can mail your payment to the address listed on your bill.
5. In-Person: You can make a payment in person at an Ohio Edison payment agency.
