Introduction

As a member of Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative (CHELCO), paying your bill on time is essential to ensure uninterrupted service. CHELCO offers various payment methods to cater to your needs. This guide will walk you through the different ways to pay your CHELCO bill.

Automatic Bank Draft

One of the most convenient ways to pay your bill is through automatic bank draft. By signing up for this service, your electric bill will be automatically deducted from your bank account on the payment due date. To enroll, fill out the form available on the CHELCO website and submit it to any of their area offices.

Online Payments

You can also pay your bill online using your checking account or credit card through CHELCO’s online portal. Simply visit the CHELCO website, log in to your account, and follow the prompts to make a payment. There is an additional fee for paying with a credit card.

MyCHELCO Mobile App

The MyCHELCO Mobile App is a convenient way to manage your account and make payments on the go. The app is available for free on the Apple Store and Google Play. With the app, you can pay your bill, check energy usage, update contact information, monitor or report outages, and more.

Kiosks

For your convenience, CHELCO has kiosks available at five of their area offices: DeFuniak Springs, Freeport, Santa Rosa Beach, Bluewater Bay, and Auburn. These kiosks are available 24/7 and accept cash, debit, or credit card payments. There is a $3 processing fee for debit or credit card payments.

Office Payments

You can also pay your bill at any of CHELCO’s six area offices during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Phone Payments

To make your monthly bill payment over the phone, call (850) 892-2111 or toll-free at (800) 342-0990. Please note that there is a $3 fee for debit/credit payments.

Mail-In Payments

If you prefer to pay by mail, you can send your payment to CHELCO, Dept. 3049, P.O. Box 11407, Birmingham, AL, 35246-3049. Checks are preferred, but cash is also accepted.

Drop Boxes

Each CHELCO office has a drop box located on the outside of the building. You can drop your payment into the drop box at any time, day or night.
