Paying Your Gas Bill with Dominion Energy in Ohio: A Comprehensive Guide

Dominion Energy offers various methods for paying your gas bill in Ohio, ensuring that you can choose the option most convenient for you. Paying Online for Free

The easiest and most convenient way to pay your gas bill is through Dominion Energy’s online portal. You can make a one-time immediate payment or schedule a payment from your checking account for free. To pay online, follow these steps:

1. Register or sign in to your account.
2. Choose “Payment” from the left navigation on the desktop or the hamburger menu on the top right-hand corner.
3. Select “From Your Bank Account.”
4. Enter your bank account information, and the amount you want to pay.
5. Confirm the payment.

Scheduled Payments

If you prefer to schedule your payments in advance, Dominion Energy offers the option to do so. You can set up a future payment date for your gas bill, and the payment will be automatically deducted from your checking account on that date. To schedule a payment, follow these steps:

1. Register or sign in to your account.
2. Choose “Payment” from the left navigation on the desktop or the hamburger menu on the top right-hand corner.
3. Select “Later” under “Payment Date.”
4. Choose the future date you want to pay your bill.
5. Confirm the payment.

Both immediate and scheduled payments are not available payment options if your account reflects two or more returned payments in the last 12 months.

AutoPay

Dominion Energy’s AutoPay service allows you to automatically deduct your gas bill payments from your checking or savings account. With AutoPay, you don’t have to worry about forgetting to pay your bill or incurring late fees. To enroll in AutoPay, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click on “AutoPay” under the “Payment” section.
3. Choose the account you want to use for payment.
4. Confirm your enrollment.

You can choose the most convenient day to make your payment and change your AutoPay day if you need to. There are no fees associated with AutoPay.

Card or Digital Payment Method

If you prefer to use a credit or debit card, Dominion Energy offers a card or digital payment method option. You can make a payment using your credit or debit card or a Digital Payment Method (PayPal and Amazon Pay). To make a payment using this method, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click on “Pay Now” under the “Payment” section.
3. Choose the payment method you want to use.
4. Enter your payment information.
5. Confirm the payment.

Transaction fees apply to card or digital payments. Residential customers will be charged $1.65 per transaction, up to $1,000 per transaction. Non-residential customers will be charged $14.95 per transaction, up to $15,000 per transaction.

In Person

If you prefer to pay in person, Dominion Energy has authorized payment centers where you can pay your gas bill. You can find a payment center near you by visiting Dominion Energy’s website. Payment centers accept cash, money orders, and checks. A convenience fee of $1.50 will apply per transaction, and must be paid in cash.
