Processing Times and Fees
When paying your bill online, the processing times and fees are as follows:
- Before 8 PM ET: The payment will be credited to your account the same day, and the posted date will be the same day.
- Between 8 PM and 11:59 PM ET: The payment will be credited to your account the same day, but the posted date will be the next day.
- On weekends and holidays: The payment will be credited to your account the next business day, and the posted date will be the next business day.
There are no fees associated with online payments.
Automatic Payments
If you want to ensure that your payments are always made on time, consider setting up automatic payments. With this feature, your credit card payment will be automatically deducted from your designated checking account each month. To set up automatic payments, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Chase credit card account online.
- Click on “Credit Cards” from the menu bar.
- Select the credit card for which you want to set up automatic payments.
- Click on “Account Services” and select “Automatic Payments.”
- Choose the payment frequency (monthly, bi-monthly, or weekly) and the payment date.
- Enter the bank account information from which you want to make the payments.
- Confirm the payment details and submit the request.
Once you’ve set up automatic payments, you can edit or cancel the payments anytime before the payment date.
