As a member of Dakota Electric Association, paying your electric bill is easy and convenient with various payment options available. You can choose the method that best suits your needs, whether online, in person, or by phone. This article will guide you through the different payment options and provide you with the necessary information to make your bill payment hassle-free.

Online Payment Options

Dakota Electric offers an online bill pay service called QuikPay, which allows you to view and pay your bills every month. With QuikPay, you can make a one-time payment online with a debit or credit card, or you can set up AutoPay, which automatically deducts the payment from your checking or savings account on the due date of your bill.

To make an online payment, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Dakota Electric’s website at www.dakotaelectric.com and click on the “Member Services” tab.
  2. Click on “Billing & Payment” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select “QuikPay” and follow the prompts to log in or create an account.
  4. Once logged in, you can view your bill and make a payment using a debit or credit card, or set up AutoPay.

In-Person Payment

If you prefer to pay your bill in person, Dakota Electric has a payment drop box located at their office in Farmington, Minnesota. You can also make a payment at the drive-up window during regular business hours.

To make an in-person payment, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Dakota Electric’s office located at 4300 220th St. W, Farmington, MN 55024.
  2. If you are using the payment drop box, place your payment in an envelope and deposit it into the box.
  3. If you are making a payment at the drive-up window, follow the signs and park in one of the designated parking spots.
  4. Insert your payment and bill stub into the slot on the window and wait for further instructions.

Phone Payment

Dakota Electric also offers a phone payment option, which allows you to make a payment over the phone using a debit card, credit card, or electronic check.

To make a phone payment, follow these steps:

  1. Call Dakota Electric’s customer service line at 888.935.4850.
  2. Follow the prompts to make a payment using your debit or credit card, or electronic check.
  3. Have your bill stub and payment information ready.

Mail Payment

If you prefer to pay your bill by mail, you can send your payment along with the payment stub to Dakota Electric’s office.

To make a mail payment, follow these steps:

  1. Place your payment and payment stub in an envelope.
  2. Address the envelope to Dakota Electric Association, 4300 220th St. W, Farmington, MN 55024.
  3. Affix the appropriate postage and mail the envelope.

Electronic Funds Transfer

Dakota Electric also offers an electronic funds transfer (EFT) option, which automatically deducts the payment from your checking or savings account on the due date of your bill.

To set up EFT, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Dakota Electric’s website at www.dakotaelectric.com and click on the “Member Services” tab.
  2. Click on “Billing & Payment” from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select “Electronic Funds Transfer” and follow the prompts to set up EFT.
