MUD Bill Pay: A Comprehensive Guide

Introduction:
MUD (Metropolitan Utilities District) provides water, gas, and wastewater services to the Omaha metropolitan area. As a customer, it is essential to understand how to pay your MUD bill efficiently. This guide will outline the different ways to pay your MUD bill and provide detailed instructions on how to use each payment method.

Online Payment:
The easiest and most convenient way to pay your MUD bill is through their online portal. To make a payment, follow these steps:

1. Go to the MUD website (www.mudomaha.com) and click on the “My Account” button.
2. Log in to your account using your username and password. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by clicking on the “New User Registration” link.
3. Once you are logged in, click on the “Bill Pay” button.
4. Select the payment method you prefer (eCheck, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, PayPal, Venmo, or text-to-pay).
5. Enter the amount you want to pay and follow the instructions to complete the payment process.

Phone Payment:
If you prefer to pay your MUD bill over the phone, you can use the 24/7 automated menu at 402.554.6666. Have your account number and payment information ready, and follow the prompts to make your payment.

In-Person Payment:
You can also make a payment in person at the MUD Operations Center Entrance, 3100 S. 61st Ave., Gate 1. Use the drop box to submit your payment (check, cash, or money order). Please note that this location is closed to walk-in customer services.

Mail Payment:
If you prefer to pay your MUD bill by mail, use the remittance stub provided with your bill and mail it to PO Box 3600, Omaha, NE 68103.

Walmart Pay:
MUD has recently introduced Walmart Pay, which allows you to pay your bill at any Walmart location in the United States. To use this service, follow these steps:

1. Ask for Walmart Pay (not Check-Free) at any area Walmart location. You must request “Walmart Pay” for your payment to post immediately.
2. Provide the phone number associated with your MUD account.
3. Confirm your MUD account number.
4. Pay any amount you choose using cash or a debit card with PIN. Credit card and check payments are NOT available.
5. The $2.00 fee associated with your Walmart Pay payment will be reimbursed and will be reflected on your next MUD statement.

Budget Payment Plan:
MUD offers a Budget Payment Plan that allows you to pay a fixed amount each month based on your average monthly costs from the last 12 months. This plan helps you avoid seasonal fluctuations in your gas and/or water bill. To enroll in the Budget Payment Plan, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your MyAccount and click on the “Budget Payment Plan” link.
2. If you don’t have a MyAccount, create one by clicking on the “New User Registration” link.
3. Once you are logged in, click on the “Budget Payment Plan” link.
4. Follow the prompts to enroll in the plan and set up your monthly payment.

Billing Prices for Customers:
MUD has put together detailed information about pricing for everything from appliance service work to gas and water repairs. To access this information, follow these steps:

1. Go to the MUD website (www.mudomaha.com) and click on the “About My Bill” button.
2. Scroll down to the “Billing Prices for Customers” section.
3. Click on the “Download the Price Book” link.
